The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is really delicious. I had the huevos rancheros and let me tell you!! FLAVOR OVERLOAD!!!
This restaurant is located near downtown Reno and is worth visiting. There is a Sunday Brunch crowd, so be prepared for a wait. But the wait is worth it! There is a variety of food, a mix of Mexican and American. I had the French toast with mixed fruit and berries, and a side order of steak. You get your money’s worth, I had to ask for a to-go container, I was happily full. There is indoor and patio seating with umbrella shade. The staff is busy hustling and are all so kind and quick on their feet. My server was Alex and he was fantastic, attentive and lovely. Put this on your itinerary the next time you visit Reno. Enjoy
Absolutely delicious breakfast! They were packed, but we were seated pretty quick. Their chorizo is delicious, as was everything that we ordered. Service was wonderful! The horchata latte and chai latte were the first sign we had that breakfast would be spot on! Huge portions, good price! Parking was hard, but that's my only complaint
Holy cow! Whenever I order eggs benedict I always ask for more Hollandaise sauce in futile hope that it would actually make it taste better. I've only found one restaurant that had perfect Hollandaise sauce. It's a little far to get to; it's in Romania. So when I saw some good reviews on Gloria's Cafe, I decided to get the Benedict. This was by far the best I've had since that Romania experience, and, in fact, on par. Warning, I had a highly rated Benedict from some place in the Bay area and they just slathered it in what appeared to be flavorless gravy and people seemed to like it. If you're someone who likes hollandaise that is flat, this is NOT the place for you.
i’ve learned some of the best places are the little hole in the wall ones off the beaten path. this is one of those. it took a bit to get seated- Gloria herself was seating people (the quintessential mexican gramma ;-)), but we got a table outside on the little patio. the menu has PLENTY to choose from but i’d recommend the french toast & chilaquiles! portions are quite large, the food is delish, and the servers are prompt! if you’re anywhere in reno, definitely make it a point to go to brekkie at Gloria’s at least once!
I cherish every time I go to this place. I have never had such phenomenal chilaquiles. They turn a simple dish into a delicacy. Food and service was fantastic. They had clean bathrooms aswell which is something that makes me feel so much better about an establishment. Alex was charming and provided excellent service. When I come back to Reno one day I hope to come back here everytime!
This place is AMAZING! Mexican - American fusion menu. And when I say "fusion", I mean it in the true sense. This is NOT your typical watered down Mexican cuisine thrown together with some American dishes. Hands down, one of the most authentic places I've been to in the US. Great food with large servings and almost everything is homemade. The chilis and salsas have a bite to them, made me break a sweat. The chorizo is homemade. The pico de gallo is fresh. The portions are ENORMOUS. While all the food was amazing, I'd call attention to Gloria's special: a traditional chorizo and egg dish fused with an American-style hash and black beans (de la olla) served with homemade guacamole and corn tortillas. Phenomenal! Customer service was just as amazing! The servers checked on us several times but not overbearing. Our drinks were never empty. Smiling and friendly, you can tell this team loves what they do and loves their customers. The place is easy to find and off the beaten path. It sits in what looks like an industrial park with plenty of parking. The building looks like an old garage that has been repurposed making it different in a nice quaint way. My only critique: the portion sizes are huge! Too huge and customers are leaving with a whole other meal in a Styrofoam box. Cut back on the portion size and increase your profit margin. Your food is fantastic enough that everyone will appreciate this and you won't lose as much profit. If you are close to Reno, THIS PLACE IS A MUST!
